HOW TO AVOID COVID-RELATED EVICTIONS

Anyone in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Franklin, Isle of Wight County, Southampton County needing rent or mortgage assistance as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic is encouraged to apply here. Tenants will need to set up a log-in with an email address to get started. 
 

This round of applications will be reviewed in mid-November.  Please hold your questions until that time so that we can work as quickly as possible to process all pending applications.  Tenants should attend all court dates that may occur and follow instructions included in the red box above.

Make your court date! Appearing in court on your scheduled date will allow you to request an extension, which is likely to be granted if you can demonstrate a COVID-related loss. This will provide you time to access housing assistance resources in an effort to stop an eviction.
